Treat Yourself to a Mini Self-Care Ritual 🛀💖
Today’s challenge might require a smidge of pre-planning and is probably best done later in the day, maybe even once you get home. But here’s the fun part: You get to look forward to it all day! 🎉
Think about a self-care activity that you can treat yourself to for just 10-20 minutes.
It could be anything that makes you feel pampered and relaxed.
- 5-minute meditation
- Quick face mask
- A cup of herbal tea
- A short walk outside
- Listen to a favorite song
- Aromatherapy session
- Quick journaling
Really, even just taking 10 minutes to slather some lotion on your hands and massage it in, If you do it with heart and focus on the moment, you’ve giving yourself some self-care.
(Scroll down to see the acronym for RITUAL)
For me, I love the evenings I can redo my manicure. Even the process of looking thru my dry nail polish strips and seeing all the fun, glamourous and creative sets makes me smile.
Why Self-Care Isn't Just a Buzzword, It's a Lifesaver! 🌟
-
Mental Spa Day: Think of self-care as a mini spa day for your brain. It’s like a CTRL+ALT+DEL for your thoughts, clearing out the clutter and making room for joy. 🧠🌟
-
Body Love: Whether you’re slathering on a face mask or stretching in a quick yoga session, your body is saying, “Thank you, I needed that!” 🧘♀️💖
-
Soul Food: Doing something just for you is like feeding your soul some much-needed nourishment. It’s like saying, “Hey, I matter too!” And guess what? You absolutely do! 🌟💫

The RITUAL Acronym:
I recently finished reading “The Elevation Approach” by Tina Wells. One of my big take aways was a new framework for thinking about rituals. As you complete todays’ challenge, think of it as a ritual and use this handy acronym:
